The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Luxembourg received the Ambassador of Armenia

On February 11 Ambassador of Armenia Tigran Balayan was received by the deputy Prime Minister and Minister of European and Foreign Affairs of Luxembourg Jean Asselborn. Handing over the letter of the RA Minister of Foreign Affairs Ara Ayvazyan to Minister Asselborn, Ambassador Balayan expressed gratitude for the principled attitude of Luxembourg on the Azerbaijani-Turkish aggression against Artsakh. Minister Asselborn expressed profound concern over the situation, and reaffirmed his approach to the peaceful settlement of the Karabakh conflict, elimination of the causes of the war and the consequences. He also informed that the government of Luxembourg is considering the possibility of providing additional assistance to the victims of the war.

Ambassador Balayan briefed Minister Asselborn on the current situation in Artsakh, referred to the regional challenges facing Armenia and Artsakh and thanked the Luxembourgish side for its support during the aggression against Artsakh.

In line with the issues discussed during the telephone conversation between the Armenian and Luxembourg Foreign Ministers last week the counterparts referred to cooperation on the issues of bilateral and multilateral agenda and the steps to be taken to expand trade and economic ties.
